About OACTS
The Ontario Association of Craniofacial Trauma Surgeons
The Ontario Association of Craniofacial trauma Surgeons is an educational and professional association of medical professionals specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of patients who have sustained traumatic injuries to the face and craniomaxillofacial region.
OACTS goals:
- The improvement and optimization of regional access to the necessary expertise for the care of patients with Craniomaxillofacial injuries
- The provision of web-based and other educational material on Craniomaxillofacial injuries for practitioners and trainees
- Advocating for medical practitioners practicing in the field of Craniofacial Trauma treatment
- Educating and increasing the public’s understanding of Craniomaxillofacial injuries and the challenges faced by medical practitioners practicing in the field of Craniofacial Trauma treatment
- Conducting research on issues affecting the field of Craniofacial Trauma treatment
- Publishing clinical practice guidelines and standards for the practice of Craniofacial Trauma treatment in Canada
- Making representations to government, regulatory agencies and others by supplying information collected as a result of research and other activities carried on by OACTS
- Working with government and regulatory agencies to develop and improve services relating to Craniofacial Trauma treatment
